With this bootcamp, you can see how to speed up your learning. If you can dedicate 1 hour 30 minutes for ten days, you will feel that your language ability in Chinese has increased noticeably. Moreover, you will have experimented with how you can keep learning faster than you were in the past.

DAY 2
Today, you are going to:
Review words from the previous day
Look closer at character decomposition
Look at character meaning using "Words containing..."
Flag more text

During this third day you will:
Re-quiz yourself
Learn about "Today's Words" and "Personal Dictionary"
Flag sentences and add a sentence to "Today's Sentences"
Quiz yourself on sentences
Do a write quiz
Day 4
Today, you will:
Start Simple: Go to Personal Dictionary and review Today's Words
Adjust capacity of the words for words in "Settings"
Use Read Quiz to test yourself
Move mastered words out of today's words
Review Today's Sentences:
Learn different functionalities for sentences in the "Step by Step" section
Review the text and flag uncertain words and look at sentences
Track time spent reading, quizzing, and listening
Day 5
Start with a Reading Quiz of today's words (~20 words)
Review Today's Sentences and Learn about the Long Press
Deconstruct the sentences such that you also understand the parts of the sentence
Listen to them
Long press the play button to adjust the speed and number of repetitions
practice reciting and writing the sentences
Finish by reviewing the text
Day 6
Starting routine:
Start in Personal Dictionary and review Today's Words
Learn how to use Write Quiz
Review Today's Sentences
Using the "Step by Step", write down each sentence after hearing it on a piece of paper:
Go through the entire text (~20 min)
After doing all of this, you should be much more familiar with the text:
Test yourself by reading the entire text
Day 7
Starting Routine:
Go to personal dictionary and study today's words and sentences
Learn about personal dictionary categories (e.g., verb section)
Tones Practice - look at tones in sequences:
This is particularly useful for difficult tone sequences
E.g., two second tone characters
Select a phrase in the text that uses these tones
Day 8
Goal: Use the app for outside of class material and research
Google "NYTimes Chinese" and find one article that interests you
Copy and Paste what you want to read (using any method) inside FullChinese
Click "Notebooks", create a "News" notebook, and paste the text
Name the Notebook: E.g., "September 4 Mulan"
Not all features are available because the text is auto-translated
Choose definitions that best fits the context
Day 9
Starting Routine:
Dictionary, Today's words, and Quiz yourself (Repeat for Today's Sentences)
Use the Writing quiz and remove mastered sentences when done
Learn about Characters Screen:
Includes HSK1 - HSK6 (Beginner - Near Fluency):
About 2200 characters is required to be mastered by high school chinese students
Although 3000 characters is a more appropriate benchmark for fluency
Will be able to read novels, newspapers, and understand most chinese texts
Open HSK1:
Identify unfamiliar characters, flag, and add them into personal dictionary and today's words
Note: An HSK book is only understood if no more than 30% of the characters are flagged
Character Family Screen:
Group characters by similarity (e.g., how all the sounds are related avoid mixing up meanings)
Day 10
Easiest day so far! Find what practice that works best for you.
Complete All 3 Practice Circles spending 30 minutes in each section:
You'll see massive improvements if you complete the quota everyday
Learn about "FullChinese Topics":
Chapters will focus on vocabulary terms within a single topic (e.g., house compact)
